The YODS difference

Same Ballroom & Latin. A different starting point.

A dancer standing still in an empty studio, eyes closed, one hand on his chest.
  1. Awareness
  2. Your movement & flow
  3. Sensing body
  4. Technique

Traditional training often starts with steps, technique and how movement should look. YODS starts with you: your awareness, your own movement and how you experience it in your body. From there, you discover your natural flow and build Ballroom & Latin technique on top of it. So dancing becomes more than something you remember and reproduce. It becomes something you can feel, understand and truly make your own.

From the inside out.

The YODS development path

Developing the whole dancer.

YODS is built around a development path that looks beyond technique alone. It connects presence, your own movement, the sensory body, dance technique, physical capacity, competitive adaptability and integration.

1 · Conscious presence
  1. A dancer standing still in an empty studio, one hand on her chest, eyes closed.

    01Conscious presence · Awareness

    Be Present

Presence is the foundation of everything. It opens the door to your own unique experience.

Arriving in your body before you move.

  2. A dancer mid-turn, her long skirt flowing, in a bright studio.

    02Own dance · Allowing

    Allow Movement

Your own movement is the source of energy for all development.

Letting movement happen instead of making it.

  3. Two dancers' feet on a wooden floor, weight shifting onto the standing leg.

    03The dancer’s instrument · Sensing

    Sense Your Body

Your body is a living instrument. Get to know it, so it can show you the way.

Noticing weight, floor and partner before you act.

  4. A couple trying a new arm line together, a notebook on a chair beside them.

    04Technique and styles · Exploring

    Explore Technique

Discover how dance techniques can live through your body, in unique and meaningful ways.

Trying shapes and paths you have not danced yet.

  5. A dancer holding a deep lunge in side light.

    05Performance ability · Strengthening

    Strengthen Capacity

Build the capacity that supports freedom, expression and effortless flow.

Building the support that lets you move freely.

  6. A couple mid-quickstep, changing direction fast, alone on a wide studio floor.

    06Competitive skill · Adapting

    Adapt in the Moment

Competitive skill is the ability to adapt, respond and stay true to yourself through change.

Changing with the music, the space and your partner.

  7. A couple dancing a slow waltz in a wide, sunlit studio, seen from a distance.

    07Integration and mastery · Trusting

    Integrate & Trust

Let go of trying and trust that everything you need is already within you. Dance from presence.

Dancing what you know without checking every step.

The core of the path

Like a spiral. Each turn goes deeper.

As your dancing develops, these elements begin to work together, and the process starts again at a deeper level. It is not a straight line towards a finished dancer. It is a continuously evolving path. From your first steps to ambitious and competitive dancing, the same foundation grows with you.

Alongside your training

Keep dancing between your practices.

Whether you train with a teacher, join guided practices or practise on your own, YODS gives you a place to continue your dancing in your own time, with your own goals at the centre.

Your own practice

Use the time between training sessions to work on what matters to your dancing. Refine your technique. Explore movement in your own body. Build strength, balance and awareness. Find more freedom. Or spend time with something you want to understand more deeply.

Your own direction

YODS grows with you. As your dancing develops and your goals change, your studio adapts, bringing together the practice, guidance and content that support where you are now and where you want to go next.

Your dancing continues

Bring what you are working on in your training into YODS. Explore it, feel it and make it your own, then take what you discover back into your next practice.

Q & A

Common questions

Do I need any previous dance experience?+

No. We'll get to know you with a few quick questions when you join, and suggest where to start based on your level and what excites you. Then you'll find your own pace. Every dancer begins somewhere.

Do I need a partner?+

No. You can practise everything on your own. If you have a partner, you can also explore movement together, with lessons that show both sides of the partnership.

Does this replace my dance classes?+

No, and it is not meant to. YODS works underneath your classes: presence, your own movement and the sensing body, practised at home between lessons. Your teacher stays your teacher.

Do the AI coaches replace a real teacher?+

No. They are a companion to your practice, not a substitute. The AI coaches are great between live lessons or whenever you want a second pair of eyes, but the foundations still come from the YODS courses and the human coaches behind them.

Is the free week really free?+

Yes. We take your card on the way in, at the step straight after you make your account, and charge nothing for 7 days. Cancel before the 7 days are up and you are never charged at all. If you stay, the first month is billed on day 8, and we tell you that date twice: before you hand over the card, and on your account page.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes. During the first 7 days, cancel and you pay nothing. After that, cancel any time and you won't be billed again; your access stays active until the end of the month you have paid for.
